Stores Person (Peterhead)
Storesperson: Supporting our shipping operations
We are looking for a Storesperson to administer and process the goods in and out operations
This is a great opportunity for an individual with some previous Stores or warehouse experience who would like to further their career within a high performing team that prides themselves on delivering quality products and services in line with the company, client, and quality expectations
- Working at the Goods In area and unloading/receiving deliveries for Score Energy
- Follow correct procedures when receipting and adding goods into stock
- Organise stock and maximise storage locations
- Follow Customer specific packaging and shipping requirements relating to goods being returned to customers
- Ensuring goods are correctly packaged when sending out for Sub-con
- Manage and create dispatch documentation ensuring compliance
- Organise courier collections and required AWB’s
- Reporting any day to day issues or queries to stores team leader
- Completing weekly maintenance and lifting equipment checks
- Ensuring care is taken when carrying out forklift (reach truck) tasks especially when transporting heavy goods and working at height within the racking areas
- Recycling and disposal of packaging materials
- SVQ level 2 Warehousing and Stores or equivalent is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
- A valid driving licence is essential
- Previous experience within a Stores or warehouse environment is preferred
- Previous experience of the equipment and machinery used within a stores/warehouse environment, including forklifts is preferred
- Basic computer skills are essential
- Familiarity with import and export process is desirable
- Previous working knowledge of Dangerous Goods Air, Sea & Road standard is desirable
- Professional approach appropriate to the role
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Produces good quality work in a timely manner
- Team worker, supportive, adaptable, accepts challenge, pro-active
- Sound organisational skills and structured working methods
- Integrity, open, honest, enthusiastic and a good team player
